Eduard Gutknecht is 24 - 1 and the current EBU Light Heavyweight Champion.

The 30-year-old, born in Kazakhstan and now a German national, turned professional in 2006.

An impressive string of early career wins saw 2009 bring a first major title - the WBO Intercontinental strap at super middleweight.

His only career defeat came in 2010, against fellow German Robert Stieglitz, as he lost a WBO World Super Middleweight Championship challenge on a unanimous decision.

The German returned with six successive wins, all at light heavyweight, during which time he secured the EBU European belt.

In his last fight, LIVE on BoxNation on March 31st 2012, Gutknecht retained his title with a slender split decision against Tony Averlant.
