"Saint" George Groves is a Hammersmith-born fighter who enjoyed a highly successful amateur career before signing a professional deal in November 2008.
Groves won the ABA Championships in the 75kg category in 2006 and 2007 and, before turning pro, achieved a record of 66 wins from 76 bouts.
His professional debut - fighting on a David Haye undercard at the o2 Arena - was a six-round points win over Lithuanian Kirilas Psonko.
The Londoner then won six of his next seven fights through stoppages and knockouts before beating Charles Adamu for the Commonwealth Super Middleweight Championship in 2010.
Groves has since defended his Commonwealth belt three times, and added the British Super Middleweight belt when he beat James DeGale in May 2011.
After eight months away from action through injury, Groves returned to beat Francisco Sierra with a fiery sixth round TKO on July 28th 2012.
Groves ended 2012 with a unanimous decision over Glen Johnson, and took his winning form into 2013 with a TKO win over Dario German Balmaceda at Wembley Arena, London.
