Hailing from Essex, Kevin "The Dagenham Destroyer" Mitchell, is the current WBO Intercontinental Lightweight Champion.
With only one career loss from 33 fights, Mitchell won various titles at super featherweight before stepping up to lightweight in 2009.
Mitchell began his pro fighting career in 2003 after winning the ABA Featherweight belt to conclude his amateur career.
It wasn't until 2005 - and with a 17 - 0 record - that Mitchell got his first title fight. He won that bout against Mohammed Medjadji to secure the IBF Intercontinental Super Featherweight Championship.
Mitchell progressed to win the Commonwealth Super Featherweight Championship in 2006 with a unanimous decision win over George Ashie.
The Londoner's one-and-only overseas fight saw him win the WBO Intercontinental Super Featherweight Championship against Walter Estrada in 2008, extending his record to an impressive 27 - 0.
A hand injury ruled the English fighter out for almost a year, halting his title ambitions, but he returned in 2009 and stepped up to lightweight. Mitchell went on to win the WBO Intercontinental Lightweight Championship against Breidis Prescott after a unanimous decision.
Mitchell suffered his first - and only - career defeat when he challenged Michael Katsidis for the WBO Interim Lightweight Championship in 2010.
The London fighter then returned to re-gain his previously vacated WBO Intercontinental Lightweight Championship, leaving him with a 32 - 1 record, before beating Dominican Felix Lora in February 2012 in a non-title fight.
Mitchell's next bout is a massive WBO World Lightweight challenge against Ricky Burns on September 22nd LIVE on BoxNation.
