ABA Light Welterweight Champion (2008)
25th February 2012 - Points win over Paul Morby
23-year-old Liam "Beefy" Smith is a 9 - 0 - 1 up and coming prospect. Born and raised in Liverpool, Smith has fought between 148lbs and 163lbs.
The young Liverpudlian turned pro in 2008 and has since won nine of his 10 fights, drawing against Terry Carruthers in 2010. Smith's success has grabbed the British boxing scene's attention, and he's now ready to push on to challenge for British welterweight honours.
His next fight comes lives from Oldham on May 18th as part of BoxNation's new show BoxAcademy. He takes on local boy Ronnie Heffron with a hope to line up a fight against the current British champ Colin Lynes or his May 12th opponent Junior Witter.
We'll bring you all the action from Oldham LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on BoxNationTV.
