Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire is currently Ring Magazine's fourth-ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
The switch-hitting super bantamweight progressed to a 68 - 8 amateur career, including bouts at flyweight, super flyweight and bantamweight.
Donaire turned professional in 2001 and fell to his only career defeat in his second pro fight in March of that year.
The Filipino Flash's first career championship arrived in September 2002 when he knocked out Kaichon Sor Vorapin for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific flyweight belt. Donaire added another regional title - the NABF super flyweight belt - in 2006, to advance to a 14 - 1 record.
In 2007, Donaire turned his attention to World domination, winning the IBF and IBO flyweight titles in July with his fifth-round knockout of Vic Darchinyan.
Donaire then moved up a weight class for the first time in his career and won the WBA super flyweight belt in July 2010 after defeating Hernan Marquez.
In December that year, the Filipino stepped up to bantamweight to win the vacant WBC Continental Americas title. He followed this with WBC and WBO World title wins at bantamweight by knocking out Fernando Montiel in February 2011.
Donaire defended these belts just once before moving up yet another weight class. Here, he will fight Wilfredo Vasquez Junior for the vacant WBO super bantamweight on February 4th LIVE on BoxNationTV.
