Shawn "The Sniper" Cox is a 37-year-old Barbadian cruiserweight and former WBC Caribbean Boxing Federation champion.
Cox only turned professional in 2007 after enjoying a relatively successful amateur career, including an appearance at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.
The Caribbean fighter was 32-years-old when he made the switch to pro, winning his first nine fights before earning a shot at the IBO Mediterranean Cruiserweight Championship; a fight he lost to Salvatore Erittu in 2009.
Cox returned to win the WBC Caribbean Cruiserweight Championship in 2011, beating Kurt Bess, before defending his belt in his most recent a fight; a February 2012 win over Wayne Braithwaite.
The experienced Barbadian's next bout - LIVE on BoxNationTV - will see him take on imposing Russian Denis Lebdev for the WBA World Interim Cruiserweight Championship on Wednesday April 4th.
