Steve "USS" Cunningham is a Philadelphia-born cruiserweight is so-called because of his years spent in service with the US Navy before he turned to professional boxing in 2000.

Cunningham won 19 fights consecutive to start his pro career, before losing his first title fight - a shot at the vacant IBF Cruiserweight title - in 2006 against Polish Kryzysztof Wlodarczyk.

Cunningham's next bout was a re-match against the Pole with the IBF title on the line in 2007. The American prevailed, but relinquished his belt the same year to Wlodarczyk's countryman Tomasz Adamek.

The 6ft 3in US fighter regained the belt in 2010 against Troy Ross before once again losing it, this time to Cuban Yoan Pablo Hernandez in October 2011.

USS Cunningham's next fight is an eagerly anticipated rematch with Hernandez for his lost IBF title on February 4, which will be shown LIVE on BoxNationTV.
