Reigning WBA World Heavyweight Champ Alexander Povetkin successfully defends his title after knocking out the experienced American challenger Cedric Boswell in the 8^th round.

After a tentative start from both fighters, Povetkin began to find his rhythm in the 4^th round, and in the 6th stepped in to sting the defensive Boswell with a flurry of jabs and right hooks.

After the fight, the Russian champ was asked a familiar question - when will he fight one of the Klitschko brothers? The answer was promising if non-committal - "I really want this fight to happen...the Ukrainians are great athletes."
