The WBO European Super Middleweight Championship

Abraham outpoints Wilczewski

Germany's "King" Arthur Abraham retains his WBO European Super Middleweight crown with a unanimous decision win over Piotr "The Wilk" Wilczewski before a home crowd.

The 32-year-old champ simply overwhelmed his Polish opponent, with the judges scores of 119 - 108, 118 - 109, 118 - 109 signifying Abraham's comfort and domination.

Wilczewski did put up an energetic and brave performance, but much of his work off the front food either missed or was parried away by the commanding champion.

In the seventh, the Pole was deducted a point after a questionable looking incident for apparently holding on too frequently.

But, ultimately, this point didn't make the difference as Abraham put in a confident champion's display, holding a stern defence and high hands throughout the contest.

Abraham and Wilczewski set for big clash

33 - 3 reigning WBO European Super Middleweight Champion Arthur Abraham defends his crown for the first time, after winning it in January 2012 against Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias.

The Armenian-born German fighter, 32, will make his first title defence against Polish 33-year-old Piotr "The Wilk" Wilczewski, who will bring a 30 - 2 record to the ring.

"King" Arthur Abraham will have the home crowd backing for the fight, which will come to you LIVE on BoxNationTV on Saturday 31st March from Kiel, Germany.

The EBU (European) Light Heavyweight Championship

Gutknecht snatches split decision over Averlant

Home fighter Eduard Gutknecht steals a narrow split decision win to defend the EBU Light Heavyweight Championship against French challenger Tony Averlant.

The German downed his opponent in the early stages, but Averlant showed massive courage to recover and fight his way back into contention.

And so this was reflected in the scorecards, which only just sided with the reigning champion, who won 115 - 113, 113 - 115, 114 - 113.

Gutknecht set for Averlant defence

Germany's Eduard Gutknecht defends his EBU (European) Light Heavyweight Championship against French fighter Tony Averlant.

The 29-year-old champion, who was born in Kazakhstan, is making the third defence of the European title he won from Danny McIntosh last May and will enter the ring with a 23 - 1 career record.

His 28-year-old challenger, who has previously held the Mediterranean and EBU-EU Light Heavyweight Championships, brings a 17 - 5 - 2 record into the ring.
