The Vacant WBO International Cruiserweight Championship
Tony Conquest moves to 10 - 0 as he bangs out Irishman Ian Tims and wins the vacant WBO International Cruiserweight Championship.
It was a bruising contest throughout, but Conquest was always delivering the cleaner work and would have enjoyed a comfortable lead on the scorecards.
An accidental clash of heads early in the fight led to Ian Tims suffering a cut over his left eye which threatened to end the bout. His corner did some good work, however, and got him in shape for the later stages.
Englishman Conquest was the dominant fighter throughout, regardless of Tims' cut. And right at the end of round seven, Conquest sent a weary Tims to the canvas. The bell sounded for the end of the round as the Irishman bravely got to his feet, but referee Ritchie Davies waved off the fight between rounds.Ricky Boylan9.05pm
