Live boxing returns to BoxNation with a bang as Arthur Abraham narrowly outpointed Robert Stieglitz to take the WBO World Super-Middleweight Championship.
Arthur Abraham holds aloft the WBO World titleIt was an even fight throughout, as reigning champ Stieglitz and the experienced Abraham stood toe to toe for the whole 12 rounds. Stieglitz, in particular, had to soak up a lot of pressure from Abraham, who upped his aggression to good effect.
And when the final bell came, it wasn't clear whose arm would be held aloft by referee Francisco Valcarcel. All three judges sided with Abraham, scoring the fight 116 - 112, 115 - 113, 115 - 113 and crowning him the new WBO Super-Middleweight Champion of the World.

Stieglitz will be attempting a seventh defence of the WBO strap he won in 2009, while Abraham is the reigning WBO European Super-Middleweight Champion after a win against Piotr Wilczewski in March.
