BoxNation is proud to announce a Wembley Arena show on March
16th featuring five title fights, including two World titles, and
the return of Dereck Chisora!
Billed as Rule Britannia, the London show will be headlined by
Ricky Burns v Miguel Vazquez in a mouthwatering
World title unification bout with Ricky's WBO and Vazquez's IBF
title on the line.
Ricky Burns (L) was last out in September, when he
TKO'd Kevin Mitchell
Nathan Cleverly's WBO World Light-Heavyweight defence against
mandatory opponent Robin Krasniqi, and George Groves in a vacant
European Super-Middleweight title challenge against Mohamed Ali
Ndiaye are the two standouts on a breathtaking undercard.
And that card just goes on and on as, subject to being granted a
British license, Dereck "Del Boy" Chisora makes his ring return
after a tempestuous 2012 saw him lose high profile bouts against
Vitali Klitschko and David Haye.
Prior to that, Liam "Destiny" Walsh makes him comeback following
the car accident that ruled him out of a December 15th WBO
challenge at lightweight against Ricky Burns. Walsh faces Canada's
Logan McGuinness, and will be defending his Super-Featherweight
Commonwealth crown.
Like Chisora, Walsh's last outing was
on the July 14th Haye-Chisora bill
Starting us off on March 16th, Tony Conquest gets a shot at
revenge against the man who inflicted upon him his only career
defeat, Neil Dawson. That fight, live on BoxNation December 15th,
saw Dawson shock Conquest and hand down a TKO after just 1.59 of
the first round. The WBO International Cruiserweight belt that
Dawson won from Conquest will be up for grabs in that one.
