At 35, the hard-hitting Derby based Jamaican has turned his career around in his last two fights with thunderous victories over Tony Conquest and Jon-Lewis Dickinson to claim the British and Commonwealth titles that he defends against Askin.

Also capturing the Commonwealth title twice at light-heavyweight in a 35-fight career, McKenzie says he's now in the best form of his life and can go on and defeat Huck to complete an amazing turnaround.

"I've worked hard throughout my career and not had the protection some unbeaten prospects have had, but it's made me the fighter I am now and I believe that I'm finally within a shot of a world title if I beat Askin," said McKenzie.

"That would be a dream for me, to win the world title and add the one title that I'm missing in my career. I want a good champion like Marco Huck, he's a well respected name in the division with the prestigious WBO belt that I want.

"Without being disrespectful to Huck, I know that I could beat him, he's got the style that I know I can overcome."

'The Upsetter' is not overlooking his hard-hitting Blackpool-based challenger and knows that he's in for a hard night if he is to keep hold of his belts.

He added, "Askin is a good strong fighter. I respect him for stepping up to fight me. He wants it bad, but I want it badder. Nothing will separate me from my titles until I decide I want to let them go.

"This is a painful sport and I've experienced the downs as well as the ups, but one of us has to lose and it ain't going to be me! I've come too far now and I'm not going to lose it at this stage.

"I seem to be like a fine wine that is maturing with age, the older I get the better I get."
