Liverpool's David Price is a heavyweight with some potential. Despite back to back losses suffered at the hands of American veteran Tony Thompson in November 2012 and July 2013, Price has since hit the reset button and started afresh with German promotional outfit Sauerland.

Price turned pro in 2009 after becoming a three-time ABA Super Heavyweight Champion, a 2006 Commonwealth Games gold and a bronze for Team GB at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The 6ft 8in Merseysider thundered through all comers, reaching 15-0 at a canter and never going past the seventh round in a fight.

In November 2012, Price lined up a bout against American 41-year-old Tony Thompson, a former world title challenger who had pushed Wladimir Klitschko close. Price lost the bout after a surprise second round TKO paved the way for a July 2012 rematch. The Liverpudlian lost the rematch, counted out on his feet in the fifth.

After signing with Sauerland Promotions in November 2013, Price scored a TKO in two minutes against stand-in opponent Ivan Ruzsinszky. He followed this with a third round KO of Ondrej Pala in April 2014 as he continues his comeback.
