The vacant IBF World Super-Featherweight Title

On August 3rd, BoxNation bring UK viewers action from the other side of the world when Billy Dib meets Tevin Farmer for the vacant IBF World Super-Featherweight title, in New South Wales, Australia.

With Kenichi Ogawa suspended after a failed drugs test the belt has been vacated for Dib and Farmer to contest. Farmer (25-4-1, 5 KOs) lost a controversial decision to Ogawa in December - since overturned to a no contest due to the test failure - and the chance to fight again for the belt will feel justified after the recent frustration, with consensus outside the ring that Farmer beat Ogawa.

For 32-year-old Dib (43-4, 24 KOs) this could be the last big opportunity. His most recent attempt at a World Title in 2015 ended in a round three TKO loss to Takashi Miura, although he held the IBF World Featherweight belt up until 2013, so isn't a stranger to competition at the highest level. Excluding a no contest fight in 2017, the Australian holds a four fight winning streak.

Farmer, of Pennsylvania, will fancy himself the faster and fresher of the boxers. After suffering early career setbacks he's gone on to an 18 fight winning streak dating back to 2012 (excluding the Ogawa no contest). Now, traveling across the world to Australia, he has another crack at the crown.

Super-Welterweight contest

The chief support sees Tim Tszyu (9-0, 7 KOs) face Stevie Ferdinandus (27-15-1, 14 KOs) for the WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental Super-Welterweight Title.

Son of former lineal and unified Light-Welterweight Champion Kostya Tszyu, the 23-year-old looks to continue his journey to emulate his famous father.

Tszyu defends the belt won last year when he came back from a first round knockdown against Wade Ryan to win a unanimous 10-round points decision.
