Price takes routine first round TKO over Ruzsinszky

David Price bounced back from two consecutive losses with a dominant first round TKO against stand-in opponent Istvan Ruszinszky.

Fighting under his new promoters Sauerland, the 30-year-old Liverpool heavyweight was never troubled as he flattened his Hungarian opponent after just two minutes of a lop-sided bout.

Pre-fight analysis

British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion David Price is set to face Istvan Ruzsinszky as he looks to re-build his career with his new promoters Sauerland.

Price, 30, suffered back-to-back defeats against American veteran Tony Thompson in 2013 having previously strung together 15 wins without a loss. Many tipped Price to be British boxing's next big heavyweight, but now he has it all to prove against Ruzsinszky.

Speaking about his first fight under the Sauerland banner, the 6ft 8in Scouser said: "I am excited to be starting this new chapter in my career.

After working with Adam Booth for a short time, Price's training is now being overseen by Tommy Brooks, who has trained world champion heavyweights Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and the Klitschko brothers during an illustrious career.
