The vacant WBC Silver Cruiserweight Title

We’re back in Ekaterinburg on Sunday 16th June when we bring live action starring some of Russian boxing’s Cruiserweight KO Kings.

Headlining this big-hitting event is one of world boxing’s pound for pound puncher’s Dmitry Kudryashov (23-2, 23 KOs) who meets Ilunga Makabu (24-2, 23 KOs) for the vacant WBC Silver Cruiserweight Title.

Kudryashov is explosive and looking for his third straight win since losing a two round shoot out against Yuniel Dorticos in a WBA Title fight 18 months ago.

Makabu, who hails from the DR of Congo, was defeated by Tony Bellew in a previous World Title challenge, but has won five on the spin since and is on the brink once more.

The WBC has billed the fight as a World Title semi-final and although Oleksandr Usyk is yet to vacate, the winner will face him or contest the vacant belt if the Ukrainian relinquishes as expected.

With 47 wins between them and 46 of those fights finishing early you are guaranteed explosive action when the bangers meet head on.

Papin won the strap last June when he defeated Willbeforce Shihepo, but relinquished the belt before making a defence and hasn’t boxed since that stoppage victory.

The vacant WBO Intercontinental Cruiserweight Title

Evgeny Tischenko (4-0, 2 KOs) faces Ghanaian Abraham Tabul (16-1-1, 13 KOs) with the vacant WBO Intercontinental Cruiserweight Title at stake.

2016 Olympic Heavyweight gold medallist Tischenko is a man in a hurry and with such fine amateur credentials many are tipping him to be a World Champion inside 10 professional fights.

Tabul is ranked at 15 in the latest WBO rankings.

The vacant IBF Intercontinental Cruiserweight Title

Yury Kashinsky is another Russian hammer with 16 of his 17 wins coming inside the distance, but Frenchman Olivier Vautrain believes he will push him all the way.

Kashinsky, 33, turned professional in November 2013 and expects to get a world title push if he beats southpaw Vautrain and captures the vacant IBF International Cruiserweight Title.

Evgeny Romanov Ariel Esteban Bracamonte

Romanov Bracamonte

On air @ 1pm

Heavyweight contest

Those four Cruiserweight crackers look bruising, as does the Heavyweight battle between Evgeny Romanov (12-0, 9 KOs) and Argentina’s Ariel Esteban Bracamonte (9-2, 5 KOs).

Romanov was a high end amateur winning European Juniors and World Youth Gold medals. He also holds an amateur win over Deontay Wilder.

Bracamonte is well known to British fans for his see-saw fight with Dave Allen last November when he was eventually beaten in seven rounds.
