The IBF World Lightweight Title

Undefeated Lightweight World Champion Robert Easter Jr defends his IBF Title against Luis Cruz in Ohio on February 10th, live on BoxNation.

On the undercard at the Huntington Center, WBA ‘Super’ World Bantamweight ruler Rau'shee Warren faces Zhanat Zhakiyanov. The event is promoted by Adrien Broner’s About Billions Promotions.

Easter (18-0, 14 KOs) now headlines a show in his hometown after lifting the vacant belt last September. The Toledo native recovered from an eighth-round knockdown to earn a split decision win over Richard Commey in a highly-entertaining contest.

Prior to the victory over Commey, the 26-year-old had formed a run of five straight knockouts, including a fifth-round stoppage of Argenis Mendez, a former World Super-Featherweight Champion, in April 2016.

The Lightweight division is currently bustling with talent. Terry Flanagan has held the WBO strap since July 2015, and is eager to unify with the likes of Jorge Linares or Mikey Garcia, who recently hammered WBC Champion Dejan Zlaticanin in three rounds.

Puerto Rican Cruz (22-4-1, 16 KOs) won his first 19 bouts since turning pro nearly 10 years ago. His last outing resulted in a split-decision draw with tricky southpaw Ivan Redkach.

On the undercard, Rau'shee Warren (14-1, 4 KOs) meets heavy-handed mandatory challenger Zhanat Zhakiyanov. Warren avenged his only career defeat against Juan Carlos Payano to lift the WBA World Title last June, and will make his first defence in Ohio.

Hailing from Kazakhstan, Zhakiyanov (26-1, 18 KOs) is the WBA’s Interim titlist. The Ricky Hatton-trained boxer has not fought since November 2015 but will keen to brush off any cobwebs on his return to the ring.

We're live on air at 2am on Friday 10th February, the running order can be found here.
