Four-weight World Champion Adrien Broner believes a bout with Filipino legend Manny Pacquiao is the biggest fight to be made in boxing today.
The brash American faces Adrian Granados next month, live on BoxNation, but has targeted a fight with WBO World Welterweight Champion Pacquiao in the near future.
Speaking to FightHype, he said: “The biggest fight for me and for boxing would be against Pacquiao. I just know the status of me and a fight like Pacquiao - it would do crazy numbers!
“I’m a hell of a self-promoter - I’m going to talk. Get the numbers right and we can have a hell of a night,” said the 27-year-old.
In November, Pacquiao came out of a brief retirement and earned a unanimous points victory over Jessie Vargas, lifting his old belt again. Now ‘Pac Man’ looks set to meet Jeff Horn in Australia but the choice of opponent has raised a few eyebrows.
“I haven’t heard of that guy, no disrespect to him,” continued Broner. “He’s obviously not a bum, but at the end of the day we all know what a fight like Manny Pacquiao v Adrien Broner would do!”
‘The Problem’ is confident he can beat anyone and stated that we are yet to see the best version of Adrien Broner in the ring.
“I have all the ability to fight everybody - it’s just up to me. As long as I’m on top of my A game, nobody will beat me. Even in my last two stoppages I wasn’t 100% Adrien Broner,” he added.
