Former two-time World Champion Amir Khan has fired back at 7-0 prospect Vijender Singh after Singh called him out following his recent win over Kerry Hope in New Delhi.
Immediately after Singh moved 7-0 and won his first professional title with the WBO Asia-Pacific Super-Middleweight belt, he turned his attention to 31-4 former World Titlist Khan.
Speaking after winning a wide unanimous decision win over Hope on his homecoming, Singh said he’s ready to face Khan in a potential big money showdown later this year.
Pakistani-Brit Khan responded on Twitter, telling Singh to “be careful what he wishes for” and that he’d “ruin his career”.
Soon after Khan’s tweet, Singh appeared on India Today to re-iterate his desire to face Khan:
Writing on Frankwarren.com, Alan Hubbard said Khan has few other options to explore, saying a fight against Singh would be a major draw in the sub-continent.
