World Title challenger Amir Khan believes he has the ring IQ and skillset to hear the words “And the new” come Saturday night.

Khan tackles Canelo Alvarez, who boasts a 46-1-1 record, at the newly opened T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with the WBC World Middleweight Title on the line.

“As long as I stick to instructions, I can win this fight. Every day we’ve been rehearsing the game plan,” revealed Khan, who was speaking to FightHub.

Jumping up in weight has forced the Bolton native to adapt his training and dietary methods in order to bulk up to the agreed 155 lbs catchweight limit.

“I’ve introduced new things in camp, more strength and conditioning plus I’ve watched a lot of videos of Canelo. I’m ready!”

In addition to sparring WBO World Super-Welterweight Champion Liam Smith, Khan has also drafted in Michel Soro to prepare for the biggest fight of his 34 fight career.

“I had Soro, he’s very strong, very big. I was getting used to feeling that pressure and taking his power.”

Khan v Canelo takes centre stage on the famous Cinco de Mayo weekend in which the Las Vegas strip is flooded with Mexican’s celebrating, however Khan believes his own fans will be out in full force.

“Vegas will be full of English fans! Khan’s Army will take over. There’s one thing about the Brit’s… We know how to make some noise!”
