Legend Bernard Hopkins has confirmed his last fight will be made public shortly against a 'dangerous' opponent.
“It’s a big announcement! We have it coming soon. People won’t expect it given the stage of my life and career but I think they will be interested to see if I can win,” announced Hopkins.
Talking with ESNews in a series of interviews, Hopkins explained: “In some peoples cases this is a 80/20 fight and I am the 20. If I’m not the underdog in this fight there needs to be an investigation!”
Hopkins had hoped to mix with the WBO World Super-Middleweight Champion Arthur Abraham, but after his mandatory was called the bout fell through. ‘The Alien’ believes his to be announced fight is more of a risk than.
"It's more dangerous than Arthur Abraham!” revealed Hopkins, who confirmed the fight will take place in April.
It remains to be seen who Hopkins will be lining up against but the rumour mill has started to speculate in full force.
Hopkins has not entered a ring since his landslide unanimous decision points defeat to Light-Heavyweight king Sergey Kovalev back in November 2014, but the 51 year old feels fresh.
“I’ve had a nice rest but I’ve stayed active.”
