Anticipation is building for the colossal Middleweight clash between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez on September 16th.

‘Triple G’ puts his WBC, IBF and WBA ‘Super’ World Titles on the line at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena in a mouth-watering match-up.

Speaking at an open workout this week, Canelo confidently predicted that fans would not be disappointed, but accepted he will have to at his best to become the first man to beat Golovkin.

“I know what I have in front of me. I know he’s a strong fighter. He is the most dangerous opponent of my career, but I’m ready for him and what’s next to come. That’s why we prepared to give the fans a beautiful fight.”

Alvarez’s date with the Kazakh was finally confirmed in May, after his one-sided points victory over Mexican rival Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Last time out, Golovkin outpointed Danny Jacobs in a close-fought battle in New York and some claimed that the 35-year-old showed his age. Nonetheless, many boxing fans believe this bout pits the best against the best, and Canelo believes it will live up to the hype.

“Without a doubt, our fight on September 16 will be one of the great fights in the history of boxing,” he stated. “Golovkin will bring out the best in me.

“I’m going to do and use whatever I need to be one step ahead of Gennady in the ring. I’m ready, and you know what you’ll get from me. Let’s just hope he brings it as well!”
