This weekend, two-weight World Champion Carl Frampton revealed he signed a promotional deal with Frank Warren, meaning his fights will be shown live on BT Sport and BoxNation.

Over the summer, the Northern Irishman split with former promoter Barry McGuigan and coach Shane McGuigan, before hiring Jamie Moore as his new trainer.

In his Sunday Life column, Frampton wrote: "I felt that the overall package that Frank Warren and BT Sport were offering me was the deciding factor. I'm desperate to kick on and have a fight before Christmas and I can confirm that I will be fighting in Belfast.

"This is a deal I believe will give me the best chance to have massive fights that I crave and I have been guaranteed that I will be fighting at Windsor Park next summer," he added.

Last summer, Frampton outpointed Leo Santa Cruz in New York to become WBA Featherweight Champion, but lost the title in a rematch in January of this year. Now the Belfast hero wants to start a new chapter in his career and become a World Champion once again.

"It’s a weight off my shoulders to now have my promoter in place because I’m desperate to kick on and have a fight before Christmas and I can confirm that I will be fighting in Belfast.

"The boxing business can be tough and it has taken a bit of time for me to get everything sorted out," revealed the 30-year-old. "But now I can look ahead to an exciting final chapter of my career, fighting the best in the world."

Further details about Carl Frampton signing with Frank Warren will be confirmed in a press conference this week.
