Reigning WBO World Super-Lightweight Champion Terence Crawford has jabbed at his unbeaten rival Viktor Postol, claiming the Ukrainian refused to make eye contact with him at the final press conference.
Crawford and Postol risk their identical, 28-0 records and their World Titles in a mouthwatering unification bout live on BoxNation this Saturday night at 2am.
"Both times he never looked me in my eyes. How can he say 'there’s fear' if he never looked me in my eyes?" asked Nebraska resident Crawford.
Stoking up the fires before their eagerly anticipated WBO and WBC World Title clash, switch-hitting sensation Crawford said he can’t wait to start a new era in Las Vegas this Saturday night.
"This is what boxing is all about. This is where your legacy begins, and this is where everybody take heed of who is the best out there.
"I can’t afford a loss at this point in my career, and I did everything possible in my training camp to make sure that doesn’t happen," added Crawford.
Speaking about the growing recognition of his skills in America, and touted as a pay per view star in the making, Crawford thanked the hometown support he receives from Omaha.
"It means everything to have support from your city. If you don’t have support from your city nobody else is going to support you. By them giving me support that takes me to the next level, because I’m not by myself.
"Every place that I fight at they come to support, so I love them for that."
