Hard-hitting Heavyweight Daniel Dubois bumped into former Manchester United and England footballer Rio Ferdinand at the BT Sport studios this week.

Ferdinand recently announced that he is going to become a professional boxer, and he is targeting a domestic title in the Cruiserweight division.

"Good to see @rioferdy5. The @PeacockGym awaits, just let me know when you're ready," Dubois tweeted on Thursday evening.

Speaking about Ferdinand's decision, trainer Richie Woodhall told BoxNation: "Since he retired from football, he's kept his fitness up. He's the fittest 38-year-old I've ever seen."

After forming a record of five knockout wins in five fights, collecting two belts, Dubois is expected to return to action before the end of the year.

Rumours that the 20-year-old will be joined by Ferdinand in his training camp are unconfirmed.
