Martin Bowers, trainer of 19-year-old Heavyweight Daniel Dubois, has revealed he is more than happy to send his charge to spar with Wladimir Klitschko.
Klitschko is set for a rematch with WBA 'Super' and IBF World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua later this year after being stopped by the Londoner in April.
"If Klitschko called us up we’d go and spar with him," Dubois' coach told The Sun. "To go and get that experience and keep working with top-grade fighters is what it’s all about.
"Joshua or Klitschko? Whoever phones first, we go," he stated.
Dubois is 4-0 after an impressive start to his pro career, and has already sparred with Joshua, as well as Tyson and Hughie Fury.
Speaking on Bunce's Boxing Hour back in January, Dubois admitted the sparring sessions with Joshua gave him plenty of confidence.
The Greenwich giant is hoping to reach the top quicker than Joshua did. 'AJ' won the IBF World Title in his 16th fight in April 2016. On September 16th 'DDD' fights AJ Carter for the Southern Area strap at the Copper Box.
“It certainly seems possible to get there quicker than him the way I’m going. If I keep winning and keep performing, I will definitely get there. It’s part of what is driving me on," said Dubois.
“It’s just carrying on that work ethic that was instilled in me from a very young age by my dad Dave and my family, and escalating to the top of the game.”
Tickets are out now to watch Daniel Dubois, Billy Joe Saunders and Anthony Yarde at the Copper Box Arena.
