Golden Boy Promotions founder Oscar De La Hoya wants another shot at Floyd Mayweather - by matching his fighter Ryan Garcia with Gervonta 'Tank' Davis this year.
Garcia (19-0, 16 KOs) takes on Francisco Fonseca on Friday 14th February, live on BoxNation, and is targeting a World Title shot in 2020. He's been rumoured to be in line for a fight with Jorge Linares, who also boxes on the Anaheim card.
Speaking to The Petros and Money Show, De La Hoya expressed his desire for revenge, of sorts, against Mayweather after his split decision loss to 'Money' in 2007.
"Ryan, I believe, is ready for a World Title this year. So, Floyd Mayweather is Tank's promoter. The fact that Floyd didn't give me the rematch...let's get it on! You have your fighter, Tank. I have my fighter, Ryan Garcia. Let's make this fight happen."

A showdown between the two young, unbeaten Lightweights would be a fantastic match-up, with both carrying serious power. Garcia is one of the rising stars of the Golden Boy stable, trained by Canelo Alvarez's coach Eddy Reynoso.
Davis currently holds the WBA 'Regular' Lightweight belt, and was last in action on December 28th, a 12th-round TKO victory over Yuriorkis Gamboa.
Vasyl Lomachenko is recognised as the number 1 at 135lbs, holding the WBA 'Super', WBC and WBO Titles, and is set to face IBF Champion Teofimo Lopez in the spring.
"If Ryan wins on the 14th, this Friday, then let's stage a fight man," continued the 47 year old. "Promoter versus promoter, fighter versus fighter, Mayweather Promotions versus Golden Boy Promotions. It'll be a huge fight!"
