British Light-Heavyweight Champion Frank Buglioni has welcomed the challenge of undefeated knockout artist Anthony Yarde.

'The Beast' picked up the WBO European Title on Saturday at the Copper Box Arena, stretching his record to 11 stoppages in 12 fights.

Yarde has walked through his opposition so far and is eyeing a step up to British level, where Buglioni currently holds the Lord Lonsdale belt.

When asked about his view on Yarde, Buglioni was blunt in his assessment: "Untested. Low work rate," before revealing he wants the fight.

Last December, Buglioni defeated Hosea Burton to win the belt, and recently made his first defence, outpointing Ricky Summers in London.

Another Twitter user asked the Enfield man if Yarde would be mandatory challenger for the British Title. "Hopefully, he'd be the easiest mandatory if made," came his reply.

Promoter Frank Warren has backed his man and is eager to make the bout. In his most recent column, Warren stated: "There should be no problem making the fight then. Get your manager to call me and it is done – in a heartbeat.

"I’ve got a lot of time for Frank and we worked together for a long while. My message to him is let’s do it and get this fight on ASAP."
