Following on from Monday’s press conference at the BT Tower to announce his upcoming fight schedule, Promoter Frank Warren has further added to his talented group of fighters.
Former Team GB and well skilled amateur star Sam Maxwell is the latest of the trio to sign on the dotted line with Warren.
The popular Liverpudlian recently got off to winning ways in the pro game with a convincing points decision over the well-travelled Ibrar Riyaz.
Back in 2014, Maxwell landed Bronze at the Commonwealth games after narrowly missing out on a spot at the London 2012 Olympics.
Maxwell can count on his stellar amateur career and also boasts ten rounds in the bank with one of the best pound-for-pound fighters on the planet, Vasyl Lomachenko to give him the confidence to succeed at the highest level.
21 year old Sunny Edwards has also signed a long term agreement with the Hall of Fame promoter.
Sunny, the younger brother of World Title challenger Charlie, has made a perfect start to his professional career and moved to 3-0 with his latest victory back in December.
Like Maxwell, Edwards boasts a standout amateur career previously winning the England Boxing Elite Championships in 2015.
Edwards has set his sights on titles at Flyweight in the not so distant future.
Completing the latest batch of promising fighters to join Warren is Ekow Essuman.
Essuman, like his two new stable mates, had an impressive amateur career part of the GB set up.
The 27 year old will ply his trade at Welterweight and will make his second appearance in a pro ring next week in Nottingham, looking to move to 2-0 in the process.
A former Team GB podium squad member, ‘The Engine’ has notable victories over Tommy Langford and Anthony Fowler and will be looking to make a fast transition.
More signings are expected so watch this space!
