Promoter Frank Warren has cleared the way for a mouthwatering Mancunian Lightweight World Title matchup between Terry Flanagan and Anthony Crolla.

“It’s a fight I want to see, I’ve got the perfect solution how this fight can go on. I’m really happy to do the fight on Sky Box Office as a co-promotion under certain conditions,” revealed Warren, who was speaking to iFL TV.

The potential fight would divide Manchester, with Flanagan being a proud blue and Crolla an ardent red.

Flanagan, who demolished his WBO mandatory challenger Diego Magdaleno in sensational style late last year followed up with a unanimous decision victory over Derry Mathews in March.

“There’s no excuses now for this fight not to happen. We’re willing to sacrifice a lot to make this fight happen. 50/50 split, it’s on,” continued Frank.

Crolla retained his WBA World Lightweight Title with an impressive stoppage victory over the previously unbeaten Ismael Barroso on Saturday night.

“He did well, I’m a fan of Anthony Crolla,” congratulated Warren.
