WBO World Heavyweight mandatory challenger Hughie Fury is ready for his shot at Joseph Parker.

Speaking on the TalkSport Breakfast show on Thursday, unbeaten Fury revealed: “I’m going to beat Joseph Parker. We’re not in this to go in half-hearted and be the challenger. I’m winning the Title!”

Parker defeated Andy Ruiz for the vacant WBO crown back in December after Tyson Fury vacated the Title, but Hughie is hell-bent on bringing the gold back into the Fury family.

“I’m very excited, I can’t wait to bring the Title back home.”

An announcement on the fight is expected in the coming days with the WBO recently putting the fight out to purse bids.

Fans will be eager to see if the contest takes place in New Zealand, the U.S. or in the U.K but Fury insists a ring is a ring.

“I’m not really bothered where we fight. Ideally in my own country, but we’ll soon see in the coming days where the fight happens.”

After getting to the bottom of his rare skin condition, the WBO Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion believes his best is yet to come.

“I have gone under the radar but everything happens for a reason. I’ve had bad health and been in the ring at 50% but I’ve still had good fights and got the rounds. Now I’m 100%, I’ve fixed my health issues its perfect timing for me.”

The 22 year old currently boasts a 20-0 record with half of those ending inside the distance. In addition to the 92 rounds racked up in the ring, Hughie has picked up invaluable learning mixing it with cousin Tyson’s sparring partners to aid his development.

“I rate Parker, he’s a very good fighter but I’ve had more experience from a young age. I’ve sparred all of Tyson’s sparring partners. I’m ready for this physically and mentally.”

When quizzed if we can expect to see Tyson return in 2017, Hughie stated: “Hopefully he should be back later this year. He’s on the right path now to become World Champion again.”
