Undefeated Super-Middleweight Gilberto Ramirez is confident he has the beating of fellow World Champion James DeGale.

Ramirez returns on June 30th in Oklahoma, defending his WBO World Title against Colombian banger Roamer Alexis Angulo live on BoxNation.

Last month, DeGale recaptured the IBF belt that he lost to Caleb Truax in December by beating the American on points, however Ramirez believes that DeGale is in decline.

"He seems to have dipped a little bit, he would be a good rival but I believe I have the skills to beat him and anyone else in my division. I want to show that I am the best at Super-Middleweight," he told BoxingScene.

"I saw his last fight, it was very close but I think he did deserve the win. I’d like to fight him, even go over to England if he wanted the fight. I’d love to fight in England and take his belt off him."

Groves v Smith

As well as DeGale, Ramirez could unify with WBC Champion David Benavidez or even the winner of George Groves v Callum Smith, who will compete in the World Boxing Super Series final later this summer.

"I could also fight the winner of Groves and Smith from the tournament, but I think Smith would be a more interesting fight. For me he’s the favourite to win the series and beat Groves," revealed the Mexican.

"He’s tall like myself and he’s skillful so it would be a good fight against him too."

For now though, 'Zurdo' must concentrate on Angulo - his next unbeaten challenger who has stopped 20 of his 23 opponents.

"I know that he’s a strong fighter, a hard puncher, he has a good record and as always we are preparing 100% for this to come out with the win," he added.
