Mitchell Smith has earmarked a potential fight with the new British Featherweight Champion Ryan Walsh next year after his current injury has cleared.
Smith, recently named ‘Best Young Boxer of the Year’ by the Boxing Writers’ Club, watched on at ringside as Walsh nicked a split decision victory over Samir Mouneimne at Wembley on September 26.
Speaking on BoxNation's weekly 'Cassius and Helder' show, the current WBO Intercontinental Super-Featherweight Champion revealed his intentions to move down a weight.
“After I fight Jupp around December time, I’ll make the step down to Feather. Especially after seeing these boys, I’d absolutely hammer Ryan Walsh. I’ll knock him out within six rounds,” revealed Smith.
