Fast-rising Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois returns on December 9th at the Copper Box Arena against Dorian Darch as he looks to continue his ascent to the top of the division.
Fellow British Heavyweight Nathan Gorman recently spoke about a potential match-up with the man known as ‘Dynamite’. Dubois took some time to respond: “This is what [boxing’s] all about, big matches being made,” he told ATG Radio.
“We sparred a couple times as an amateur, I’ve changed and come on leaps and bounds since I’ve gone pro. I’ve really been able to improve as a fighter in every way. [A fight] would be completely different when we next meet.
"I believe I’d come out victorious whatever way it comes, knockout or decision,” predicted the 20-year-old.
Dubois however, is focused on the man ahead of him, Darch, who has shared the ring with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Hughie Fury and Eddie Chambers. He provides the sternest test of the young man’s career so far.
“[Darch] is up for it and coming to win. I’m on my A-game and focused on him and taking this very seriously.”
‘DDD’ is already catching the eye of high-level Heavyweights, but for now, wants to take things step by step. “These names I’m going to meet down the line in the future. It’s exciting times in the Heavyweight division.
“I’m going to establish myself in the division as a big name. I’m taking it one step at a time.”
