Ovill McKenzie is counting down the seconds to his big fight with Marco Huck.

McKenzie travels to Frankfurt on Saturday 24th September to challenge for Huck’s IBO Cruiserweight Title.

“I can’t wait for the 24th. Marco Huck, you can’t get bigger than that. This is the big one. Beat Huck and I’m on top of the radar,” explained McKenzie.

Speaking with iFL TV from his training base at the Peacock Gym in London, Ovill is looking for a conclusive victory.

“This is what I’ve been dreaming for. I will have to knock him out, I don’t think its going twelve rounds.”

Reflecting on his World Title experience against then IBF World Champion Victor Ramirez, McKenzie insists he can’t leave it to the judges this time around.

“When I went to Argentina to fight Ramirez, I thought the next chance I get I’ll have to knock the opponent out. I beat him fair and square and the judges give it a draw.”

McKenzie is back out on the road for this huge opportunity. Victory would propel the likeable Cruiserweight into World Title contention once more.

“That’s why I’ve got the nickname ‘The Upsetter’. We go anywhere to fight! I’m going to take him out, as Mike Tyson once said!”

Marco Huck scored victory over long standing foe Ola Afolabi last time out to follow up from his stoppage defeat to Krzysztof Glowacki last August.

“Huck’s a true Champion and professional, he gave me good notice for this fight. Three weeks’ notice would have been better for me!” joked McKenzie.

The likes of Scottish cruiser Stephen Simmons have helped Ovill prepare for the biggest fight of his life.

“I’ve had some great sparring, I’m fit and good to go! I know I can do it. Tune in to BoxNation on September 24th, it’s the one!”
