Ovill McKenzie is counting down the seconds to what promises to be an all-out war on Saturday 24th September.

‘The Upsetter’ travels to Frankfurt, Germany where he collides with Cruiserweight banger Marco Huck live on BoxNation.

Speaking at the fight announcement press conference last month via Periscope, the rejuvenated Jamaican roared: “I’m coming to do a job on Marco Huck! That’s my aim, I don’t come to mess around.”

Former long standing WBO Champion Huck got back to winning ways last time out, closing his four fight chapter with Ola Afolabi after previously being iced by Krzysztof Glowacki just over a year ago.

‘The Captain’ starts as a strong 1/5 bookies favourite in front of his native German fans, but the current British Cruiserweight Champion is looking to live up to his nickname and catapult himself up the World Title rankings.

Training out of the Peacock Gym in Canning Town, the 36 year old believes his 25-12-1 record is somewhat distorted: “I’m a warrior, a true fighter. Don’t look at my record and think I’m a walk over. Back in the day as a Light-Heavyweight I used to take fights at short notice. Not really preparing, sometimes I won, sometimes I lost.”

Victory in Frankfurt would surely give McKenzie another shot at World honours following his cruel, controversial draw in Argentina last October against then IBF World Champion Victor Ramirez.

“This minute I’m at the top of my career. We’re in proper shape. I’m coming to put on the performance of my life. It’s going to be a great fight.”
