‘The Beast’ Anthony Yarde is taking another step up in class after his destruction of Chris Hobbs for his first professional title.

On July 8th, the unbeaten Light-Heavyweight will face Richard Baranyi as he attempts to wrestle his WBO European Light-Heavyweight Title away at the Copper Box Arena.

Big things are expected from the chiseled Londoner, especially after his dismantling of Hobbs. “[Hobbs’] body was exposed, all sorts of exposure, I said to myself touch the head go to the body, if I see a shot I’m gonna keep doing it until you’ve learnt your lesson,” Yarde told PSB Sports.

The 6ft ‘Beast’ always looks in prime condition and his preparation for his upcoming bout is no exception: “Preparation is fantastic, we’re working everyday. It’s my decision when I want to rest, I know my body.

Baranyi v Yarde

“Right now I’m 11-0 (10 KOs), I’m still only focused on myself. I’m fighting for the WBO European [Title], my next opponent is ‘chicken biryani’ - that’s my focus right now. I’m not focused on anyone else in the division!”
