Promoter Frank Warren is keen to make a unification bout between Terry Flanagan and Jorge Linares.

Shortly after Linares’ hand was raised on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena, Frank was quoted on his Twitter account:

WBO World Lightweight Champion Flanagan was ringside to watch a spirited Anthony Crolla performance, who couldn’t quite find enough to overcome the sharp and classy Linares.

The Venezuelan added the WBA and Ring Magazine Titles to his WBC Diamond crown and confirmed in post-fight interviews he was open to return to the U.K for his next bout.

Speaking with Kugan Cassius at the fight, Flanagan expressed his desire to fight Linares or Crolla next before moving up: “I’m growing out the weight, I’ve got one or two fights max left at Lightweight.”

Fans will be intrigued to see what happens next in the 135lbs division with potential further unification fights possible for early 2017.
