We caught up with rising Heavyweight hope Hughie Fury, who returns to BoxNation this Saturday night when he locks horns with the experienced Fred Kassi.

Victory for Fury would move him to 20-0 and position him inside the top 15 of the WBO World rankings for the first time, a step closer to following in his cousin Tyson’s footsteps.

“If a World Title shot comes tomorrow, I’m ready! I train hard and that’s all I’ve ever done,” revealed the 21 year old.

There’s a strong emphasis on building some momentum for the unbeaten starlet which will only increase his popularity and awareness in the division.

“I’ve got the best team behind me, I want as many fights as possible against the right opponents to continue developing. I’ll happily fight every month if I was told that’s the plan,” continued Fury, who was speaking after the traditional pre-fight press conference.

It’s a welcome return to the Channel of Champions for Hughie: “I can’t wait, my last fight on BoxNation was a good win against Matt Greer back in 2014 – I’m really looking forward to it!”

Next up is Fred Kassi, who recently lost a controversial decision to World Title challenger Dominic Breazeale.

“Fred Kassi is a tough opponent and it’s for my first Title fight. I’ve seen the Arreola and Brezeale fights, he’s awkward. I’m not looking for it, but if a knockout comes, it comes!”

Watch Hughie Fury v Fred Kassi and the full supporting undercard from 6pm on Saturday night!
