Unbeaten Super-Middleweight banger Jamie Cox has thrown his name into the hat to fight the winner of tonight’s WBA World Super-Middleweight Title rematch between Fedor Chudinov and Felix Sturm, which is live on BoxNation.
“I’ll fight any of the World Champions! Chudinov, we’ll just have to wait and see,” revealed Cox.
The 29 year old is predicting a big 2016: “I’m coming into my prime, I’m fighting where I’m comfortable at Super-Middleweight.”
Now ranked #15 with the WBA and #4 with the WBO, Cox finds himself perfectly positioned to take a leap into a huge fight.
“I’m looking forward to fighting some big names. A lot of them are turning it down, I can only fight who’s in front of me,” expressed the slick Swindon southpaw who was speaking to the Cassius and Helder show.
In a mouth-watering division both domestically and on the international stage, Cox wants to be tried and tested against the very best.
“Groves, Degale, Smith, Chudinov, Abraham – put me in the mix with them and I’m telling you I’d be winning and keeping those titles.”
One mooted domestic fight is up against Luke Blackledge, who currently holds the Commonwealth Title.
“Luke Blackledge has blocked me on Twitter but he wouldn’t be able to block my left hand. He’s just a body to me, I would take him out.”
Cox’s refreshing attitude to take on the world’s best matched with his ferocious style is a deadly combination.
“I’m one of these people who turn on the T.V and want to see excitement, I think we bring that. All action!”
