Amir Khan believes Tyson Fury would have too much for Anthony Joshua should the pair meet right now.

When asked by Kugan Cassius if the new IBF World Champion would beat Fury, Khan responded: “At the moment, no. It would be very hard for him. Fury is a very good fighter, people don’t give him the credit.”

Joshua won Fury’s old belt when recently sparking Charles Martin out in the second round to earn Britain another titlist at Heavyweight.

“Because it’s Fury people like to have a dig. It’s too early for him in his career,” continued Khan.

Mouth-watering unification fights have been hotly discussed since, but Fury has to rematch Wladimir Klitschko before these blockbuster showdowns could come to fruition.

The legendary former Champion Klitschko is hungry and determined to win back his belts, which makes for a very tough first defence for Fury.
