WBO Intercontinental Super-Featherweight champion Mitchell Smith is eyeing more gold for next year.
George Jupp is the latest challenger for Smith's WBO ranking title on December 19's big show, and should 'King Mitch' retain his belt, bigger fighters will follow in 2016.
Smith has previously expressed an interest in dropping down a weight to fight stable mate Ryan Walsh for the British Title, and with each passing win, his WBO World ranking, currently 4, will only improve.
When quizzed which rival he would like to face, Smith responded:
MS - Ryan Walsh because I genuinely dislike him https://t.co/0yPTeOoTdz— BoxNation (@boxnationtv) December 3, 2015
After the Q&A on Bunces Boxing Hour, ‘King Mitch’ exclusively revealed how the grudge started when Walsh visited a gym that Smith was training in.
It’s clear this potential fight will continue to grow should both men keep winning.
The recently turned 23 year old landed one of the KO's of the year against Antonio Horvatic back in March to further propel him into the boxing limelight.
It’s been a fine 2015 for Smith who picked up the prestigious Boxing Writers 'Young Boxer of the Year' for 2015
