Feared puncher Sergey Kovalev has outlined his plans to become the first man to stop Isaac Chilemba when the pair lock horns on Monday 11th July, live on the Channel of Champions.

Speaking at the fight announcement press conference back in April, the ‘Krusher’ revealed: “He’s an interesting opponent, his style is uncomfortable for anybody. He’s never been stopped and it’s going to be my goal to stop Chilemba.”

The fight takes place during an International trade fair in the Russian town Ekaterinburg and is expected to catch the eye of many businessmen and visitors to the convention in addition to loyal hometown fans.

“I have two homes right now, America and Russia. All my brothers, sisters and cousins will come to the arena and can see me fight live, I’m excited.”

A date of November 19th has been pencilled in for the Kovalev v Ward super fight, but the unified World Champion has to take care of business with Chilemba and hope Ward comes through his ‘tune up’ fight in August to keep the fight alive.
