Middleweight banger David Lemieux is charged for this Saturday’s fight against Curtis Stevens, live on BoxNation.
The Canadian travels into Stevens’ back yard, New York State for the 12 round contest looking to do a demolition job on the ‘Cerebral Assassin’ at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino.
Speaking at a pre-fight media workout, the former IBF World Champion revealed: “'I couldn't be more prepared for a fight. I have one objective in mind: I want to take his head off. I am so motivated to put on a great performance on Saturday night. Stevens put a lot of oil in the fire with his disrespectful comments and he will pay for it!”
In the build up to the fight, Stevens has used social media to taunt Lemieux on various occasions.
Lemieux is planning to use the derogatory comments as ammunition to launch himself back into the World Title mix.
''The last time that my opponent spoke so much and I so disliked him, I believe it was Delray Raines. I broke three of his ribs and his nose. It didn't end up very well for him!” warned Lemieux, who boasts 32 KO’s from his 36 career wins.
Whether the fight ends early as many expect or goes into the later rounds, the Montreal Middleweight believes he has all bases covered to ensure his hand is raised come fight night.
''I had an exceptional camp and we have prepared for this fight very seriously. We are ready for the best Stevens there is, going 12 rounds if needed. I guarantee you that it will be a rough night for him.''
