Heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz is eyeing a future showdown with Deontay Wilder.

The Cuban southpaw puncher has told Golden Boy’s chief Oscar De La Hoya: “Sign it, I’ll knock Wilder out!”

Next up for ‘King Kong’ is likely to be Alexander Ustinov, who is co-promoted by Frank Warren.

“Alexander Ustinov is planned for June or July. We’re just waiting for Oscar De La Hoya to lock it in,” revealed the 37 year old to FightHub.

The proposed fight is part of the WBA’s tournament to clean up the multiple World Champions at Heavyweight.

Tyson Fury, who holds the WBA Super Title, fights Wladimir Klitschko on July 9 live on BoxNation. The winner of Ortiz v Ustinov and Fury v Klitschko could well lock horns further down the line.

Ortiz has amassed 22 knockouts from his 25 fights, the most recent of which was a demolition job on David Price’s conqueror Tony Thompson back in March.
