Ovill McKenzie has called out Cruiserweight rival Enzo Maccarinelli for a third fight to settle the score.
It’s 1-1 after their previous two fights. McKenzie picked up a controversial second round stoppage back in September 2012 at the Liverpool Olympia whilst Enzo Mac levelled with a late flurry of sickening punches to stop Ovill a year later in Cardiff.
McKenzie appears to have missed out on a rematch with Victor Ramirez after their close, split decision draw for the IBF World Title last October and is eager to return to the ring.
Now back in training, ‘The Upsetter’ posted a video on social media to entice Enzo for a third fight.
“Don’t run from me man! The third match is on, the fans need it – we need it! It’s there on the table right now, take the fight. I’m ready for it.”
Fresh from wiping out legend Roy Jones Jr in Russia, the former World Champion Maccarinelli may wish to see the latest WBO World rankings before committing to a potential rubber match as Jones was ranked in the top 15 with the governing body.
The 36 year old McKenzie is World ranked with the IBF and WBC, should the pair get it on – the winner would have World honours in sight.
