American-Mexican star Mikey Garcia makes his long-awaited ring return live on BoxNation this Saturday night when he faces Elio Rojas over 10 rounds.

Garcia, who recently expressed a desire to face WBO World Lightweight Champion Terry Flanagan, is back in action after a dispute with his previous promoters left him on the sidelines for two and a half years.

The 34-0 (28 KO) star restarts his career against 24-2 Rojas in a 10-rounder at super-lightweight, two divisions higher than where he previously campaigned at super-featherweight when he beat Juan Carlos Burgos in January 2014.

“I expect to pick-up right where I left off,” Garcia told Showtime Boxing.

“I was a world champion, undefeated. I still am. I did not lose because I was injured or anything like that. I haven’t lost. I think I’ll be just as good as I was, probably even better. I’m hungrier now than I was before.

“I’ll get one fight in, this first fight against Elio Rojas. It will be somewhere between 135 and 140, but I do want to come back to 135. I want to gain a title there, in the lightweight division, and from there go after champion after champion to get the recognition I deserve again.”

And Showtime Sports recently caught up with Garcia to create this fantastic promo for his comeback fight live this Saturday night LIVE on BoxNation.
