World Title contender John Jackson is looking to follow in his Dad’s footsteps and claim his first World Title this Saturday night.

Jackson faces unbeaten Jermell Charlo with the vacant WBC 154 lbs World Title on the line.

“I’m looking to make history, My Dad was a World Champion in this weight class. I’m going to do the same thing!” revealed the 27 year old at the traditional pre-fight press conference.

John’s Father of course is the big punching Julian Jackson, who U.K fans will remember for beating Herol Graham in 1990.

‘The Hawk’ finished his professional career with an impressive 55-6 (49 KOs) record, claiming World Titles in both the Super-Welterweight and Middleweight weight divisions.

“It’s not only the Charlo’s trying to make history, sorry guys!” continued Jackson.

‘Dah Rock’ has put together back to back victories since being sensationally knocked out by Andy Lee in June 2014.

“This could be the best fight of the card, easily! If you watch my career every fight I go into I bring it.”
