Talks over a potential Middleweight unification bout between Billy Joe Saunders and Gennady Golovkin are hotting up.
Speaking exclusively on BoxNation’s Bunce’s Boxing Hour show on Thursday night the WBO World Champion admitted he is willing to face Golovkin next, but on his terms.
“I’m sitting here with options. They need to put a good offer on the table, I’m a World Champion. They want all the belts, not a problem. I would go in there knowing I could beat him, it’s a tough job for anybody but they need to offer something so I don’t fight x y or z next.”
The unbeaten Hatfield ace continued “I’ve always said he’s the man at the weight, he’s earnt it but I will fight anyone. I’m a fighting man.”
Saunders would be in line to secure a career high pay day but insisted he can dethrone the Kazakh KO King.
“It’s got to be big money, in my opinion he’s the best fighter on the planet. I love a challenge, but people say he’s invincible but we’ve seen it with Tyson Fury everybody’s got a way of getting beat, I don’t care who you are.”
